Sugarloaf
is a 600 foot high granite peak overlooking Lake
Superior to the east and the Escanabe State forest
to the west. A parking area is availble approximately
five mile north on County Road 550. Steps are
provided most of the way with a trail offshoots
along the way It is one of the more Popular Lake
Superior overlooks and especially magnificent
during the color season.
